What is smallStock?

As its name claims smallStock is a small company of stock photos ready to be used on a Royalty Free basis. They are sold individually through our website.

smallStock website is designed to be as simple as possible to use. Certainly a lot simpler than many other existing Royalty Free suppliers, and you will experience this the very first time you visit us.

This way we do not need to pay percentages or commisions to third parties as other big well known agencies. Result=you pay LOWER PRICES.

Yes, we know: we are SMALL, so our name. We will never provide such a huge volume of -maybe- rather poor images, but a small, refined and high quality of Royalty Free stock images.

What is Royalty Free?

When you buy images on our website you are buying the right to use the images for any use*, in any part of the world, for an unlimited period of time.

From the image users point of view, Royalty Free is really convenient, especially when it comes to illustrating texts and products. As there is no negotiation about possible usages, the distribution area or duration of the license, Royalty Free images can save you lots of valuable time.

What makes smallStock different from other Royalty Free brands?

At smallStock we are photographers producing and distributing ourown images. We are not an ordinary agency selling the work of others. Therefore, our prices are low and fair, as we do not have intermediaries to sustain.

We know our limitations: We are SMALL. But we can control very much the quality of our images. We will try to keep this level of quality for a long go, so, we will never fill our website with high volumes of rather poor works.

Licenses

There are two types of licenses for smallStock images:

Images for layouts and comps
Images for comps and layouts can be downloaded free of charge from our website.

Unregistered users can access watermarked images. Registered users can access unwatermarked images.

The use of these images is limited to presenting comps and layouts to your clients before final approval. Storing these images in your storing device for more than the reasonable period of time to present your comps to your client, will be considered unlawful and prosecutable.

Final use images
The use of these low/medium/high resolution images is subject to purchase an End-user License.

Technical details

smallStock images have a light unsharp mask. Therefore a stronger final unsharpmask may be applied if necessary for the output device.

smallStock images are available in RGB color space and obviously you may process them to CMYK color space if necessary.

Searching for individual images by keywords

Write the words that best describe the image that you are looking for, separated by a single space. Each space will be interpreted as an "AND" command between each of the words. For example the chain woman beach will search for pictures that contain a women and a beach together on the same picture.

You can change the default "AND" by an "OR" to perform a different search. For example the chain: woman or beach will search for women and beaches, no matter if they are or not on the same picture.

Composed words need to be written between quotation marks. For example the chain: "san francisco" california will result on pictures of the city of San Francisco in California.

When more than one composed word needs to be searched, each one must be written between marks. For example the chain: "los angeles" or "san francisco" will result images of Los Angeles and San Francisco indistinctly.

The search criterion for geographycal regions that may have the same name as city capitals is the following:

The chain barcelona will result images of Barcelona city.

The chain barcelona province will result images of Barcelona province including Barcelona city.

You can use singular or plural words.

Use the infinitive or the gerund for verbs.

Searching for categories

Choose the desired category on the dropdown menu you will find on the top right of the site. By the time you release the mouse button, the full colection of images on that topic will be searched.

Searching for orientation

By default the orientation check boxes on the top bar of our site are checked. If you want to search for a particular VERTICAL oriented picture, you must uncheck "Horizontal" and "Square" checkboxes and write either your keywords or chose a category.

Working with lightbox

Lightbox is very usefull to provisionally store images that might look good at first sight, but need further reviewing before any purchase.
In order to use the lightbox feature you need to login as a registered user.
Lightbox is represented by text link on the top right menu. Images in your lightbox will be stored until you delete them yourself.

Adding images to your lightbox
Adding images to a lightbox is very easy. Simply click the icon that corresponds to the image desired to be stored in the lightbox.

Consulting your lightbox
If you are already registered you must identify yourself in order to gain access to your lightbox. Once you enter the system, click on "your lightbox" text link which appears in top right menu.

Use of the shopping cart

You must be registered in order to be able to use the shopping cart to buy individual images. When you enter the site in the future you will be required to use your Username and Password in order to access your shopping cart.

To buy one or more images you need to click on the "add to cart" button corresponding to the file size desired, which appears on the pricing area page accessed by pressing the corresponding icon ($). The images you put in your shopping cart remain there until you decide to purchase them. If you decide to leave the smallStock web site, the images will remain in your cart until you delete them.

At any moment you may view and buy the contents of your shopping cart by clicking on "shopping cart" button which appears in the tool bar at the top of the screen. You may also delete any image from the cart by clicking "Remove from cart".

Payment and Invoices

Once you are ready to purchase your images, click on "Checkout " button which appears on the lower part of the shopping cart screen. The next screen will present you with an invoice showing your image selections as well as individual and total amounts. We recommend to print this invoice out for your personal records. To confirm your purchase, click on "Continue" button.

The following screen, a 128 bit encrypted secure page, which belongs to the processor bank, our internet secure payment provider. You will need to supply your credit card number, the expiration date and the cardholder's name as it appears on the card. Please note that the information you supply is only known by bank processor and yourself; smallStock does not have access to your confidential payment information and therefore cannot store any credit card information. Please click "SUBMIT" to process the transaction.

After you have supplied the necessary credit card information and the transaction has been accepted by the bank, you will be redirected to the "Orders & Downloads" page, where you will be able to donwload your recent acquired images as well as donwloading  and printing your invoice instantly.

If your transaction is approved, a copy of your invoice will be sent to the email address you have supplied to us.

Donwloading your images

You are free to donwload your images, in a simple way, at your convenience or instantly after completing your payment.

Return and refund policies

If for some reason you are unsatisfied with an image you have purchased, you may obtain a refund up to 7 days after receiving the image file on your email account.

In order to initiate the return process, send us an email at info@smallstock.net clearly indicating the following:

• first and last name
• phone number
• email address
• the reason for your return
• code/s of image/s returned
• the invoice number corresponding to your purchase

To initiate the return process, it is essential that we receive the complete details as mentioned above.

If your complaint is accepted, we will send you an PDF document by email for you to fill out, sign, and to be returned by email, and in which you will also indicate that you have not used the image, as well as your acceptance to destroy the image/s previously acquired. We will refund your credit card transaction in the 3 working days following receipt of the signed document mentioned above.
